Bloemhof
Bloemhof is a district in the south of Rotterdam.
Almost 15.000 people live on just 79 hectares of ground. It makes Bloemhof the most densely populated district of Rotterdam.
Over the last 25 years the district has radically changed.
Many original inhabitants did leave the district. Migrants from Turkey, Morocco, Surinam and the Antilleans took their place.
Recently also migrants and refugees from Africa and Eastern European have settled in the district.
The original inhabitants who are still living there, are old people and
families who can not afford to move to another district.
